Production Apprenticeship
During an exciting 12 month training programme, in partnership with Burton and South Derbyshire College, you will develop the practical skills and theory to become a member of our fantastic production team working within our fast paced Manufacturing facility. Your learning experiences will take place in our onsite Manufacturing Skills Dojo, as well as in the classroom with Burton and South Derbyshire College, where you will learn how to carry out production processes safely, efficiently and to outstanding quality. You will take ownership of a variety of manufacturing activities throughout your time here.
Over the 12 months, you will work alongside a mentor, towards a number of industry recognised qualifications, including Level 2 Performing Manufacturing Operations, Level 2 Business Improvements Techniques as well a number of other awards including (but not exhaustive); IOSH (Health & Safety) Hybrid Engineering Awareness and Level 2 ILM in Effective Team Member Skills . Upon successful completion of the programme, you are guaranteed a permanent position at Toyota where you will start your career journey as a production team member.
About the programme
You will undertake both classroom and off the job skills training, roughly 4 days a week undertaking practical training in production areas and 1 day based in the classroom, learning production theory.
To develop your teamwork, communication and leadership skills, you will also spend time away from site on an outward bound residential. You will be taught about the Toyota Production System and our core philosophies of Continuous Improvement and Respect for People.
We look for people with a drive and passion to make a difference, within the workplace as well as for their self-development and progression. Share the value that there is always a better way – continually improving is the key!
