Salary and Benefits
Salary progression is as follows: -

You are eligible to join the pension scheme once you have successfully completed your probationary period (3 months for TMUK, 6 months for TME) Toyota Manufacturing UK offer a Defined Contribution Scheme to members.
Both the member and Toyota Manufacturing UK contribute to the Pension plan benefits. The member contributes 2% of their pensionable salary and Toyota Manufacturing UK contributes 4% of your pensionable salary, plus the administration charges and the cost of any insured benefits.
After 5 years' membership of the Defined Contribution Scheme, there is the option to transfer to a Final Salary Scheme or an enhanced Defined Contributions Scheme.
If you are a member of the pension scheme, you will also benefit from life assurance, should you die whilst in the employment of Toyota Manufacturing UK.
You will become eligible to join the private healthcare plan once you have successfully completed your probationary period (3 months for TMUK, 6 months for TME).
Private healthcare is available through BUPA within a number of different options including single, married, family and single parent. Children are covered until the age of 21 provided they are still in full-time education.
Additionally, corporate membership of Denplan is also available.
Toyota Manufacturing UK members have a number of options to purchase vehicles. The car privilege scheme, where a selection of Burnaston built vehicles may be obtained over a 12 or 24 month period. This plan also includes RAC membership, road tax and servicing. A new vehicle can be purchased with attractive discounts or ex-management vehicles are offered to members at discounted rates.
There will be two plant shutdowns each year (a fortnight in August and a week at Christmas) and you will be required to take holiday at these times.
You will then be able to use your remaining holiday entitlement at your discretion provided this is authorised by your supervisor.
The entitlement will be based upon length of service as follows:
Service Entitlement
Less than 3 months service - No payment
From 3 to 6 months service - 6 months salary
From 6 to 12 months service - 9 months salary
12 months service or more - 12 months salary
A free workwear allowance is provided to all new members. Options are also available to purchase additional items at a discounted rate should this be required.
